Sinjid: Prelude

((Author's Notes: Prelude to Sinjid: Shadow of the Warrior. Yeah, majorly edited by my good friend Krin. We're friends in real life, and still are online. Yeah, Baka is a place holder name that stuck, if you were wondering. Hjetsu was actually Obake-land, but changed at the last minute. Interesting fact worthy of note is that dialogue is in the same format that the French use in their novels.

Finished: Before the release of the aforementioned game.))

The Prelude

It was dark, as dark as night could be. Somewhere, nearby, the smell of burning timber and thatch gave the air a sort of pleasant stench, that and of course the smell of blood. The mighty warlord, Lord Baka, high above on a cliff, gazed down upon the tiny village. He had ordered his soldiers to leave no survivors. Should Lork Baka been a normal man, he would have already been consumed with his guilt. But yet, he felt no shame, no remorse, no pity. Many innocent lives have been ended by his order, why should it change? He turned around and walked back to his tent.
---
Below, a warrior, fought his way to the exit of the little village. Upon reaching the gate, he was confronted by no more the 10 adversaries. They attempted to surround him, but this was what the warrior was waiting for, with one 360 degree horizontal slash, he hacked them aside with his sword. The warrior continued running into the bamboo forest. Soon he came to a clearing. Another man was standing there. His name was Fujin. He came to a clearing where another man was waiting.
-Have you got the child, Fujin? asked the man.
-Yes Hattori, he’s right here. replied Fujin.
-Fujin, I want you to go over the mountains, over to the lawless lands of Hejstu, there, you will teach Sinjid the ways of the shadow.
-But Hattori, you know you will never see Sinjid again.
Hattori took a small step back, knowing that what Fujin said was true.
-But if it must be so, so be it...Go...Fujin
-Yes, I will do so, farewell...my friend.
Hattori unsheathes his sword and runs off towards to village, never to be seen again, not by Fujin nor his son, Sinjid.

The manuscript goes on about how many years passed by and hows Lord Baka's Fallen Army ravages lands after lands... Sinjid was secretly trained to reverse this disorder. Trained to kill him, and all his Fallen knights of darkness. And so begins the war, that will take many lives, part many friends, shed many tears, and be remembered by....for many generations.
